A new element has been discovered in the periodic table of metal, and it is the upstart thrash-metal terror from Uddevalla, Sweden known as Chtonium. Immediate comparisons will be drawn to Arch Enemy of course because they are female-fronted but without the wicked guitar solos and high-end production of that band.

Guitarists Andreas (Necrology) and Bjorn (Suicidal Winds) founded the band under the name of Conspiracy at the end of 1999 and recorded four demos, the most recent being "All You Ever Feared" in 2006

"In Sour Ground," which is the band's first demo under the name of Chtonium, sounds more like classic At The Gates style of Gothenberg death than thrash metal. The music of this EP proceeds more slowly than the break-neck speed of a Metallica or Slayer, but the same ferocity and precision are present.
