Okay they're more Skynyrd than, Sabbath on "Call To No One," and the epic instrumental,
"Far Side Of Neptune" is more akin to Failure's "Fantastic Planet" than anything by Electric
Wizard or The Sword, but I can hear the influence of all of the above in this EP.
The important elements of a good sonic stoning are all there, the huge down-tempo blues riffs,
the plentiful cymbal crashes, rhythmic syncopations varied enough to keep it interesting in
contrast to the constant drone of the guitars, the fat low end, and oh yeah, Deep Space Pilots
got a real singer, unlike too many bands that fall into the sub-classification of Stoner Rock.
Call it spaced out, call it a waste of space, call it whatever you want, but if you can carry a
tune, then your shit is good enough to load into my bong, any time!
